With a background in retail and degree in hand, I started my career in the staffing industry in 1997. I joined a regional recruitment firm, was promoted to the VP of the Technical Division and hired Joanna Spaun in 2001. In 2005, Joanna and I started MJ Recruiters in the basement of my house with the goal of being active moms available to our kids. Today, 18 years later, we have placed more than 950 manufacturing professionals and have long term employees Lisa Reinbolt and Clare Brickner on our team.

Meeting Face to Face

I love to visit my clients face to face as often as I can, especially when they have a new opening. I am best known for dialing in on my client’s needs and assisting them in creating a plan to attract top talent. Our clients are impressed by the detailed intake process and are confident that I understand their needs once finished. I am an extension of them in the recruitment process. I am best suited for a company that wants to work with a recruiter exclusively and believes in the value of true partnerships.

We do not present many candidates. MJR is on target with the ones that we do present. Over the last five years 55% of the candidates that we present are interviewed onsite and 32% of the candidates that interview onsite receive job offers.
We have a high contingency search fill ratio. Over the last five years we have filled 64% of the contingent searches that we have worked on and in 2023 we filled 71% of our contingent searches, beating the industry average of 18-25%. We know our metrics!

Outside of MJ Recruiters

When not focused on my client’s recruitment needs, I love to spend time with my grown kids and husband. I enjoy traveling to different places and favorite long term familiar spots. I love to eat food at a new restaurant with a glass of wine or a GREAT cocktail! My favorite is a dinner with my friends or family sharing stories of current and old. I enjoy listening to live music, trail and sand dune riding in our RZR, sitting on any beach, being on the water, reading a good book, walking and hiking. My biggest lesson learned was from my 98 ½ year old grandma. She taught me not to sweat over the stuff that doesn’t get done, just enjoy the fact that we are here together and that we love each other. I try to live life by this every day.
