Fast-paced automotive supplier, positioned for growth, is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Manager to oversee daily manufacturing and facility maintenance operations, preventive and predictive maintenance, and coach and mentor their staff of maintenance technicians in a multi-shift facility.  Daily, you will work within an eager, driven leadership team and report directly to the Plant Manager.  Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:  
 
  • Lead and enforce the safety program for the maintenance department, ensuring compliance with government regulations and maintaining audit-ready status. Identify and implement safety improvements.
  • Track, analyze and improve KPIs, such as PM compliance, equipment uptime and maintenance costs. Provide performance reporting and ensure effective follow-up on maintenance tasks, work orders and project management.
  • Drive continuous improvement, Kaizen activities and Lean Manufacturing practices like 5S. Anticipate and solve problems promptly.
  • Provide electrical and mechanical guidance and resources for maintenance associate development, including training, and skill assessment. 
  • Communicate and coordinate with other departments like Production, Engineering and Scheduling to manage production PMs and holiday shutdowns effectively.
  • Develop and manage budgets for maintenance expenses and utilities. 
  • Complete root cause analysis on recurring issues and issue corrective actions to reduce future breakdowns. 
  • Work with outside contractors for facility and production projects.  
  • Support capital equipment projects by preparing the site and electrical needs, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
  • Assist with escalated mechanical and electrical issues in a highly automated environment.  
  • Oversee MRO spare parts warehouse inventory, including critical spare parts identification, inventory reduction and cycle counting.
  • Manage the CMMS system for PM, work order and spare parts management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS for the Manufacturing Maintenance Manager: 
1. Minimum of a high school diploma; a degree is highly preferred 
2. At least five years of similar plant maintenance management experience, working in fast-paced, mass production manufacturing environments 
3. Experience overseeing a maintenance team 
4. Experience overseeing preventative and predictive maintenance programs 
5. Experience leading or participating in root cause analysis, formal problem solving and corrective actions 
6. Mechanical aptitude, including hydraulics, pneumatics, gears, motors, etc. 
7. Electrical aptitude, including 480V, PLC troubleshooting, etc. 
8. Project management of timelines and ideally budgets 
9. CMMS software experience 
10. Microsoft Office, including Excel 
 
Skills preferred but NOT required:
1. Automotive supplier experience 
2. ERP experience 
3. Experience working in automated environments, including Fanuc robots, etc. 
4. Reliability engineering concepts 
5. Certifications
