Purchasing Associate
Are you a detail-oriented professional with a knack for managing inventory and purchasing processes? We're looking for a dynamic Purchasing Associate to join our team and help streamline our procurement operations.
What You'll Do:
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely procurement of necessary materials and products.
- Utilize ERP systems to manage purchase orders and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Analyze and optimize purchasing methods to improve cost efficiency and supply chain reliability.
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
What We're Looking For:
- An Associate's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field is preferred; however, equivalent experience is also valued.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing, buying, inventory management, or industrial distribution.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and ERP systems.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 (P21) or similar ERP systems.
- Background in industrial distribution, manufacturing, MRO, power transmission, hose, hydraulics, bearings, fluid power, or related industries.
- A solid understanding of inventory management principles and purchasing best practices.
