Fast-paced manufacturer has an immediate opening and is ready to hire a Maintenance Supervisor to lead their technical, well-tenured, fully staffed maintenance team.  The Maintenance Supervisor will report to the Maintenance Manager and will be responsible for the following tasks:
  • Manage day-to-day maintenance support operations, including creating and assigning work orders and following up with completion
  • Direct, motivate and coach maintenance staff on multiple shifts 
  • Comply with OSHA regulations and guidelines 
  • Oversee maintenance for the grounds and facilities 
  • Support and implement improvements in the plant 
  • Select and supervise outside contractors
  • Communicate with vendors and order maintenance inventory as needed, including entering purchase orders into an ERP and/or CMMS system 
  • Maintain reports and communicate on the status of current and upcoming plant maintenance projects
  • Provide technical support for new equipment and production issues
  • Coordinate training related to maintenance and equipment safety
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment issues 
  • Other tasks as assigned by plant management
 
Candidates must be able to communicate directly and effectively at all levels, be self-motivated, take initiative on projects, have excellent project management skills and enjoy being hands on as needed.  Medical benefits are available the first of the month after 60 days of employment.  Holidays, PTO, three tier medical plan with dental and insurance, 401K, and bonus potential!

REQUIREMENTS for the Maintenance Supervisor:
1. Minimum of a high school diploma or GED 
2. At least two years of similar manufacturing maintenance supervision experience 
3. Experience working in plastics manufacturing 
4. Experience overseeing a team of maintenance technicians and/or skilled trades individuals 
5. Mechanical troubleshooting, ideally including hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, etc.    
6. Electrical troubleshooting, ideally including industrial controls, 480V, etc.
7. Ability to read blueprints 
8. Experience with preventative maintenance programs 
9. Working knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines and requirements 
10. Microsoft Office

Skills preferred but NOT required:
1. Working knowledge of vibration, ultrasonic and/or infrared analysis related to industrial maintenance 
2. PLC programming 
3. CMMS software 
4. Injection molding 
5. ERP systems
