💚 The Let Them Theory – I get it and you can too! 💚

Life throws us curveballs, doesn’t it? Difficult family members, challenging friend circles, and, yes, those bosses that make you question your sanity. If you’ve ever felt trapped in a whirlwind of other people’s drama, Mel Robbins‘ “The Let Them Theory” is your lifeline. It’s a powerful tool for navigating all of life’s relationship challenges.

While the book helps you deal with those tricky personal relationships, as a recruiter I can’t help but feel that it really hit home when it comes to the workplace. Because, let’s be real, we’ve all had that boss or a bad working culture. Been there, done that!

1.    Focus on YOUR Worth: Stop trying to change your boss, they won’t change. Focus on your skills, your accomplishments, and what YOU bring to the table. ✨
2. Release the Control: You can’t control their mood swings or bad decisions. Let them be them. YOU control your next move. ➡️
3. Acceptance (and Action): Accept that some workplaces are just toxic. But acceptance doesn’t mean staying put. Let YOU take action and you choose to move on. 🚪
4. Don’t Let Their Opinions Define You: Their inability to see your value is THEIR problem, not yours. YOU are talented, capable, and deserving of better and we can help you find it. 🌟

Mel talks about this powerful moment when she says, If you’re constantly overlooked and unappreciated, it’s time to LET THEM. Let them overlook you, let them dismiss your efforts. But most importantly, let them go!

As a recruiter, I have seen many talented individuals over my 28 years in the industry trapped in jobs that crush their spirits. You deserve a workplace that celebrates your contributions, not one that diminishes them.

So, here’s my message to you:
1.    Let them be them.
2. Let them show YOU their true colors.
3. And then, let YOU move on. (You might need to read Mel Robbins’ “The 5 Second Rule” for your next move)

Your dream career is waiting. Don’t let a toxic boss or a bad culture break you. Let MJ Recruiters find you a place where you’re valued and appreciated.
