✨Slow Down: My Best New Year’s Resolution✨
My best New Year’s resolution ever? It was all about slowing down. Sounds too simple, right? But trust me, it changed everything. See, I’ve always been a bit (maybe more than a bit) scared of falling down stairs. 😱 One wrong step, and bam—broken ankle, no more heels! So last year, I decided to try slowing down, mostly for my own safety.
It started with just the stairs, but then I began to slow down with everything. Driving, working, even just slicing an 🍎—I’ve cut myself with knives before. It was like hitting the pause button on life’s crazy hustle and bustle. And guess what? I started noticing things I never did before. Like that amazing view on a hike, or how my kids crack me up when they’re goofing around. Even something as simple as seeing the sunrise when leaving the gym at 7 a.m. I actually started noticing everything better. ☀️
This “slow down” thing wasn’t about being lazy or anything. It was about appreciating the little things, the everyday moments that make life awesome. And you know what? It actually made me more productive. When I wasn’t rushing around like a crazy person, I could focus better and get more done. Who knew? 🤷♀️
It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle, especially during the holiday season. But this year, I challenge you to try something different. Take a breath, look around, and really soak it all in. You might be surprised at how much you’ve been missing. 🥰
